Welcome to the 'Plants' topic, where there will be three 'Whacky Packs' that explore how plants grow, the environments in which they grow and the different parts that make them.

Each Whacky Pack contains:
  • ‘Whacky Facts' – interesting information.
  • Activities – hands-on activities that can be done at home or school. They are introduced by Albert Zveistein. If you see the ‘Whacky Question Mark', you know there's lots to think about and investigate!
  • ‘Terrific Timelines' – more (historical) information and things to think about.

- plant environments. Explore some of the conditions and habitats in which plants grow and how they depend on the local community of plants and animals to form complex ecosystems.

- different parts. Creepy, prickly, slimy and rubbery. Microscopic or gigantic. Poisonous, parasitic, carnivorous. Fruity, gone to seed or just nuts! Green, red, blue…Explore the main bits and pieces of plants, the ‘organs’.
